Day 1: Arrival in Akumal – Tulum Ruins & Cenote Swim

Your Yucatán adventure begins with a warm welcome at Cancún Airport before transferring to Akumal. Depending on arrival time, explore the iconic Tulum ruins overlooking the Caribbean Sea or refresh yourself with a dip in a nearby cenote. The evening ends with a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, setting the tone for your journey.

Day 2: Coba Ruins & Monkey Sanctuary – Valladolid by Night

Step into Mayan history at the ancient city of Coba, where towering pyramids rise above the jungle canopy. Later, visit a nearby wildlife reserve to spot playful monkeys in their natural habitat. By evening, transfer to Valladolid, a colonial gem, and enjoy a traditional Mayan dinner in the heart of the town.

Day 3: Rio Lagartos & Ek Balam – Flamingoes and Jungle Views

Today’s Yucatán nature trip takes you to Río Lagartos, a vast mangrove ecosystem alive with birdlife, including flocks of striking pink flamingos.   • The itinerary blends light walking at ruins, boat tours, and optional swimming in cenotes. Most guests find it moderately active, but certainly not difficult. There are plenty of breaks and comfortable transfers between sites.

  • Your package covers all accommodation, meals, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, evening cocktails, entrance fees, guided activities, transportation, use of binoculars and wildlife guides, plus a Pixel Expeditions welcome pack. International flights and gratuities are not included.

  • No special skills are required. Our bilingual guides handle logistics, and life jackets are available for cenote swims and boat trips. Non-swimmers can still enjoy the scenery and alternative activities.

  • Light, breathable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, swimwear, a sun hat, biodegradable sunscreen, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle are recommended. A camera or binoculars is great for wildlife and ruin views.
