These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Pixel Expeditions’ website, services, and tours. By booking with us, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
1. Who We Are
Pixel Expeditions is a registered tour operator based in Mexico, offering wildlife and scuba diving experiences in the Yucatán, Mexico and worldwide.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to book a tour.
Some activities (e.g., scuba diving) require proof of certification and/or a medical clearance.
By booking, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.
3. Booking & Payment
A booking is only confirmed once full or partial payment is received and a confirmation email has been sent.
Prices are listed in USD and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
We accept payments via bank transfer.
4. Cancellations
Customer Cancellations:
300 days or more before tour: 5% cancellation charge or 0% if credited for rebooking
Between 60–299 days: 30% cancellation charge or 10% if credited for rebooking
Less than 60 days or no-show: 100% cancellation charge
Company Cancellations:
Pixel Expeditions and its associates act only as service providers for the transportation, accommodation, scuba diving activities, boating activities and other principal service. We accept no responsibilities for civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, illness, epidemics, accidents, injuries, damage, loss and theft, quarantine, customs regulations, changes in flight itinerary, delays, deportation or refusal of entry by immigration authorities and other circumstances beyond Pixel Expeditions control.
In case where an amendment is made by Pixel Expeditions to an overall tour duration, the affected guests will be offered a credit or refund of the cruise fare pro-rated by the number of days reduced from which the tour itinerary was scheduled for.
In case where a cancellation of a tour is made, Pixel Expeditions shall endeavour to provide suitable recourse which include, but not necessary limited to, participating on another available tour offered by Pixel Expeditions, full refund of the fare amount that is already to Dive Pixels (credit for future booking or cash) to the affected guests’ consideration. If no recourse offered by Pixel Expeditions can be accepted by the affected cruise guests, Pixel Expeditions shall reserve the right to provide a full refund of the tour amount that is already to Pixel Expeditions in cash and consider the refunded cruise booking as canceled.
5. Changes to Bookings
You may request to reschedule subject to availability.
Any amendment, including transferring your tour fare already paid to another person, request to your reservation is subject to acceptance and/or availability by Pixel Expeditions.
If Pixel Expeditions is unable to accommodate your request, the standard cancellation charges above shall apply.
Additional charges may apply for upgrades or seasonal price differences.
6. Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance is mandatory for all guests . If you are undertaking skin and scuba diving activities, the insurance should provide coverage for scuba related injuries and international evacuations in addition to other standard travel insurance policy coverage. The insurance policy should cover international emergency evacuations, trip cancellations, baggage loss, hospitalisations, medical treatments including hyperbaric recompression, etc. Pixel Expeditions will not take any responsibility whatsoever for any expenses that may be incurred through lack of adequate or no insurance coverage undertaken by you.
7. Health, Safety & Certification
Participants must disclose any medical conditions relevant to wildlife tours or scuba diving.
For scuba diving, you must present valid certification from a recognized agency (e.g., PADI, SSI, NAUI).
We reserve the right to refuse participation if safety is at risk, without refund.
8. Liability Disclaimer
By booking with Pixel Expeditions, you acknowledge and accept that:
Adventure travel and scuba diving involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, accidents, or encounters with wildlife.
Pixel Expeditions, its staff, and partners are not liable for personal injury, property loss, delays, or other damages beyond our control.
You participate voluntarily and assume full responsibility for your actions.
You agree to sign a waiver of liability prior to participating in any tour.
9. Code of Conduct
Guests are expected to respect local communities, wildlife, and the environment. Unsafe, disrespectful, or unlawful behavior may result in removal from the tour without refund.
10. Liveaboard Cruises
Due to their unique logistics and duration, liveaboard trips have a separate booking policy. Please carefully review the Liveaboard Booking Terms & Conditions PDF before confirming your reservation. By booking a liveaboard cruise, you agree to the terms outlined in that document in addition to the general policies listed here.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on this website (text, images, logos) is owned by Pixel Expeditions and may not be reproduced without permission.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Tulum, Yucatán, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised “Last updated” date.
